What Can You Expect During Your First Visit to Our Office?
At Central Ohio Periodontics (COP), we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal (gum) and dental implant conditions. Our state-of-the-art facility in Blacklick Ohio is fully equipped to handle all types of dental procedures in a comfortable atmosphere.
When you first contact or visit COP, a team of friendly, knowledgeable staff members will greet you and give you the appropriate first-time patient forms to either complete at home prior to your appointment (www.centralohioperiodontics.com) or fill out at the office by arriving 15 minutes early. Be sure to bring along a list of your current medications, including supplements, your dental insurance information, and, if applicable, a referral form and x-rays from your referring dentist.
During your initial consultation at our office, you will meet with one of our highly trained doctors, Dr. Fred Sakamoto or Dr. Rashee Mannava. Our doctors are committed to providing the highest quality patient care with the utmost compassion and understanding for every patient. Your doctor will conduct the following:
- Review of your medical history, any preexisting health concerns, and current medications
- Review of your dental history and concerns, including the reason for your visit
- Thorough dental and periodontal examination
- X-rays as necessary
Once the examination is completed, your doctor will discuss all your concerns and will present a customized, detailed treatment plan that is specific to you and your needs. Various treatment options can also be discussed. We will take the time to answer any questions you may have.
Once you and your doctor have agreed on the best course of action for your treatment, our front office team will assist you in reviewing the proposed treatment plan, and financial and insurance responsibilities, and schedule an appointment for the procedure, if you are ready.
